The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's remastered version is almost here, as it launches on October 28 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Now, Bethesda has confirmed exactly when the game, called the Special Edition, will go live on all platforms.
In an FAQ, Bethesda confirmed the PC edition will go live at 12 AM UTC on Friday, October 28. This comes out to 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET on Thursday, October 27. You can find out when the PC version comes out where you live in the chart below.

I wish I could find the list (I periodically delete my mod list and start over just for the hell of it) but last time around I followed instructions for a list of mods and settings and achieved near photo-realistic graphics for the environment...I don’t think it can happen due to various constraints in the engine and what-not, but if the in-game characters could be modded up to the same level of realism, it would be incredible.

You might be able to start pre-loading. Look for “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition” on your Steam game library list.

There are combined water mods and “realistic” mods that I might try. I’ll look into the remastered version. Really,mothers are so many different mods you can create a different game experience every play through. The game itself is so beautiful that I’ll probably do it a few times until they release the development tools for fallout 4.

This was apparently developed by some German modders, who are my absolute favorite modders back from their magnificent work with Unique Landscapes and Mud and Blood for Oblivion.
This is an entirely new game and new scenario made with Skyrim’s resources. Took 4 years of work and was released earlier this year.
I’m playing it now, and so far, it’s just lovely. They included a number of mods in the download, there’s a list of them somewhere I saw, but graphically, it’s beautiful. It doesn’t just use the vanilla Skyrim textures.
The scenario for this game is quite dark.
I thought you might be interested in this. I got all of the necessary downloads from here, and it was very easy to install. I did have to reinstall original Skyrim though for its resources.

Thanks I”ll look into probabaly after New Year. My video card busted in the summer and I only just got a new one. Need to finish a few games before jumping into another.
Right now I am doing Pillars Of Eternity. Got it on sale last summer with DLCs and now it is all patched up and playing very well. I can recommend it. Put it on your wishlist and then you will be notified by email when it goes on sale again.
If you get POE then look into “ie mod” for it on Nexus.
I am going to play the whole weekend.
