Just finished talking w Sandy. Altho he appreciates the changes that have been made, the national security arguments and Santos's reforms, he wants more , but specifically he mentioned the co-ops which are "shams and we need to be sure steps taken to change that." He also made the essential services argument.
He said he would forward his proposed changes to the WH in a few hours. He implied, but did not state, that his support depended on making them.
He also pled that we send up KORUS and not bundle all three. If not, he believes there will be an "explosion" from Dems and we will get only 50 Dem votes.
Also, in the "couldn't resist category", I told him that at the rate we were going, Columbian workers were going to end up w the same or better rights than workers in Wisconsin and Indiana and, maybe even, Michigan.
At your service
One last *PING* for the night.
Wow! I bet Trump quotes this tomorrow.
What are Columbian workers?
Is that a boast? Or a criticism?
They were probably on the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria. ;-)
