Central Florida report form the front lines of early voting

Just returned from Early Voting in East Orlando, just South of UCF (2nd largest college campus in the US). This polling place is in a very diverse area since much of surrounding area is students and working class families. When we vote here in 2012, the lines were better than 90 black folks with Church Vans in operation and huge coordination efforts happening. Today the lines were mixed with maybe 1/2 white, very few Millennials, 1/4 Hispanic and 1/4 black. In 2012 I was completely blown away with the demographics, today is was very very different. It was about a 45 minute wait.

About a month ago I was talking to a very popular local black guy while I had on my Trump shirt. I asked him how he felt about the election. He responded that he couldn’t understand how Martha Stewart could go to jail for what she did and Clinton was home free.

This is in New York State!

A black ex cop that I work with (Security guard) who seems intelligent enough thinks Trump is a corrupt Russian agent and Hillary will help out black folk. I don’t talk to him about it after the first time because I don’t need any bad blood at work.

I think UCF became the largest college in the US recently. Maybe it depends on size of real estate or number of students. I think it said by students. It’s around 60K.

They call UCF, Under Construction Forever. Great school.

You might be right. I think it depends on how they slice it. All I know is that it is big and growing. My voting station this a.m. was about 2-3 miles south of campus.

They call UCF “U Can’t Finish” because your required courses are always unavailable/overbooked.

My wife runs a large restaurant and she reports that the usual Rat support from the kitchen and servers just isn’t there... breaking partially towards Trump ,,, no solid support of Cankles.
