LAS VEGAS — Donald Trump is pointing to a stream of hacked emails as proof that Hillary Clinton would be a compromised president, but a surprising number of progressives are drawing similar conclusions — albeit for totally different reasons.
Some of the left’s most influential voices and groups are taking offense at the way they and their causes were discussed behind their backs by Clinton and some of her closest advisers in the emails, which swipe liberal heroes and causes as “puritanical,” “pompous”, “naive”, “radical” and “dumb,” calling some “freaks,” who need to “get a life.”

Very true. I used to know this retired union guy. He told me his entire career he passed out bribes to his union underlings for building post offices.
Many times he told me that if you are going to cheat don’t get caught. If you think you will get caught don’t cheat.

I personally believe that the only reason Hillary and bill are liberal is because it is easier to buy and manipulate a liberals loyalty. I believe that they would be pretending to be conservative if they thought they could get away with it and it would give them power....Hillary and bill are Crooks first then what ever dogma or political philosophy that will get them elected.

Her relationship with “everyday Americans” is already poisoned.
However, even elitists with a brain can see that she’s a fatally compromised candidate: WikiLeaks has her e-mails, Russians and Chi-coms probably have them too.
If she gets into the WH, foreign governments will be free to blackmail her, for whatever part of her term she survives.
IMHO, this entire Politico article is disinformation designed to create a little drama. Leftists simply do NOT care. They are all as cynical and/or naive as the emails show. Most of my leftist friends are of the naive variety. No matter how many ways I demonstrate that they are being used as useful idiots, they are oblivious. But the progressive movement is as much “end justifies the means” (or justifies the abuse as useful idiots) as ever and these emails will not change that.
I think you make a good point. It's much easier to compromise the values of someone with low moral values than those with higher moral values, integrity, and convictions.

And Trump is squeaky clean. If the worst they can get him on is from 11 years ago, they have NOTHING.
If they had more, they'd have used it by now.

Keep in mind none of this stuff is getting reported through the media so the Bernie supporters etc. do not even know about it. There is basically a news blackout on all Wikileaks documents...

Not just Hillary’s relationship with the left, but the Wikileaks emails are going to make all of these lefties distrust one another...
