There was a LOT of terrorism in the 70s. There was so much it didn’t even tend to be news, at least not on the national or international front. It was just the background noise of life.

That was the “golden age” of the PLO, Weather Underground and IRA. It was the era of the OPEC Siege, the LaGuardia Bombing, and Black September. It was a messy time.
Now we have a majority of a 7th century death cult declaring war on America and our Government is bringing them in my the thousands.

Not really. Plenty were MidEast oriented, the PLO, Black September and plenty of others. One of the interesting things about that era was that you saw a lot of “merging” of the groups. Look at Carlos the Jackal, one of the most successful terrorists in the world, he was a communist Venezuelan who moved to France and fell in with a section of the PLO, eventually converting to Sunni. A lot of what we saw IN AMERICA were anarcho terrorists, but even then plenty of those groups had ties to the Soviets and the PLO.

September 11, 2001 was the start of WWIII and so far we're losing.
Look up the Black September list. They had over 30 bombs out on the SAME DAY. Luckily most of them were found before they went off, but any perusal of their list shows the current crop are kind of pikers. Really, hit that link I gave you, LEARN what was actually going on in the 70s. There were points then that 3 attacks in one day would have been considered quiet.
The Cold War was 3, this one’s 4. We’re doing better than people want to think.
