What happens if Hillary drops out? Mark Kaye has it all figured out
Canada Free Press ^ | 09/15/16 | Dan Calabrese

The Democrats have no rules, but there's always a way

My buddy and Cox colleague Mark Kaye asks an interesting question: What if Hillary’s health forces her to quit the race? What do the Democrats do?

Oh sure, they could just stick Tim Kaine at the top of the ticket so he can run the country and explain the Bible to all of us. Or they could go with Joe Biden so we can all learn about shotgun safety.

But Mark’s been thinking a little more creatively:

Good ideas? Well, let’s all agree on this: Hillary not becoming president is the best idea I’ve heard in a long time.

If Hillary continues to be significantly behind in the polls she will drop out and use her help as an excuse

Kapernick isn’t old enough to be president.

Biden or Kaine would be worse.

The Democrats want a woman president. They have but one choice: Caitlin Jenner.

I’m not sure what the Democrats *CAN* do. They may have to run Jill Stein? They can’t just swap her name from the ballot in all 50 states, can they?

If she were to actually die, the electors would still be chosen in her name, and then they could all vote for whoever they want. (If you can’t vote for an ineligible person, I wouldn’t think they’d be bound by a pledge to vote for ineligible person.)

But if she’s not dead, the laws for replacing her on the ballot probably differ greatly from state to state. And if the final result is Biden 269, Trump 268, Clinton 1, guess who wins? Whoever the Hell the House chooses to elect. I’m sure that means Ryan will graciously act as a consensus candidate to heal our divisions as a nation, and have enough minions to vote for him that Trump can’t win the in the House.

She won’t off her sugar-momma. Then she’d have to depend on Weiner.

Even out of office, Hillary will be writing ‘tell-all’ books for years. She’ll need a secretary.

The courts will rule that voters are voting for the Democrat Presidential Ticket and it doesn’t matter who is on it.
It is a fault tolerant system. If a candidate dies between being nominated and the election, the system can handle it.

NO DOUBT that the people in the ‘bowels’ of the Republican Party are planning for this swap-out and have PLENTY OF DIRT on whoever might replace the Wildebeest.

...come to think of it, never mind. Hopefully Trump’s people are doing that.

We are reaching a point where I will be eliminated from following the news. I am a literate person and read. All the publicly available information is being presented more and more via video. I don’t waste time watching videos. They take too damned much time. I suppose that puts me hopelessly in the past and not part of the modern world but so be it.I am not going to spend my whole day watching videos to get the information available in an hour’s worth of reading.
