Talking Points: Blame media for double standard.
Like the media has let Trump slide by.
Hillary's memo is laughable, though. Look at this:
“I think we can all agree that if Donald Trump said something controversial about Clinton supporters, it wouldn’t have been in his top ten list of offensive statements in day,” the advice reads.
Oh, puhleeze. Absolutely everything Donald Trump does and says is scrutinized. Just watch CNN. After the NBC Forum the other night, did they focus on Hillary's poor performance? Nope. CNN spent the entire time dissecting everything Trump said.
“It’s well past time the press stopped grading Trump on a curve. So is the press going to cover this story in the right [context], or are they going to hold Hillary to a different standard again? Are they going to make more out of this story than they made out of the racist, misogynistic Trump comments that got us here in the first place?”
First of all, if the media doesn't cover or make a big deal out of the "racist, misogynistic" Trump comments, then how do you know what these comments are? They had to have been reported in order for you to do so. Not only that, these comments have been hashed and rehashed for months, with you using them as campaign talking points.
It’s all very deplorable.
Yes, not the first time she even said it, and this article indicates that Kaine agrees with her statements. He doesn’t think she should walk them back. Pence needs to remember that in the upcoming VP debate.

The Compost neglected to include the stated “islamophobia” charge against the Deplorables.
She didn’t apologize. She said she regrets it. Those two are not the same.

First, she calls ‘half’ of the Trump supporters ‘deplorables’.
Then, she says she should not have said ‘half’. That can be taken two ways, and most of us are sure she meant the latter: 1) meaning she only meant ‘some’ Trump supporters, or 2) meaning she doubles down and implies ‘all’ Trump supporters.
Then, she tries to deflect the issue by claiming Trump is part of the ‘alt-right’ [whatever the h*ll that means] and in league with the likes of Duke and skinheads.

-illery stepped in it. The Israeli TV interview was scripted, thus also was her comment about Trump supporters. It wasn’t a gaffe, as some tried to imply yesterday. It was ‘focus grouped’. That focus group likely have already been fired.
Exactly.
She expected it to go over well, but it fell flat about like a cow patty being freshly deposited.
It was not apology. It was typical Clinton parsing and nuancing. She thinks she is being clever, like ole BJ.
By Monday, she can claim that that is old news and has already been vetted, so it is time to move on.
What next, will she call illegial Mexicans criminals?
