Conservative Party of Canada has no problem with immigrants who hate us

The hell with the conservative base, Rona. Keep on pandering to special interest groups

It is way too early to decide if Kellie Leitch will be or should be chosen by the Conservative Party of Canada as its next leader. If she did nothing else last week, the orthopaedic pediatric surgeon-turned-politician showed one thing. There is very little difference between the CPC and the Liberal Party headed by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Leitch came under fire after she mailed out a questionnaire asking, among other things, if immigrants to Canada should be screened for “anti-Canadian” values. The reaction to her comments were swift.

The Reform Party was a good try, but then they merged with the “conservatives” and things got back to same ol’ same ol’.

It is unfortunate that Kellie Lietch did not take a leaf from Donald Trump's book. Once again the politically correct ninnies have brought someone to tears and abject apologies. Kellie could have told them politely to “jump in the lake” or a similar riposte. After all entry to Canada by undocumented persons is not all that easy without some scrutiny. The catch is that whether the authority will act on a questionable entrant. The machinery is in place. Where I live at the Ontario/Michigan border, persons are turned back to the United States -if the border security deems it necessary.

Again and again Conservatives make the mistake of backing up and apologizing. Then they are victim to the sharks circling the waters. The enemies of freedom are the politically correct brigade.
