My response was, "It's a gimmick for the newbie, wannabe commandos." I wouldn't characterize it as a gimmick - the Judge is a utility gun. Sort of a more compact version of the old Savage rifle-over-shotgun combo rigs. It does seem to attract neophyte shooters, though - and a .410 / .45 Long Colt handgun isn't exactly a friendly starter piece.
