I recall (decades ago) a story of a USSR refugee having a breakdown in the cereal aisle of a US grocery store. She couldn’t fathom the existence of so many brands/kinds/choices of mere breakfast cereal.
Recently I counted the number of different kinds of marshmallows at Walmart.

Years ago, a good friend had a relative visit from Latvia. We went to the supermarket together, on her first day here. When we walked into the produce area (at Wegmans) she asked, "Is it like this all the time?"
With Socialism, people wait for bread. With Capitalism, bread waits for people.
