Agree..I’ll listen to Lynyrd Skynyrd but I can do that while looking at Britney.
Ever listen to Blackberry Smoke? Great Southern Rock.
Songs of 1970,what was your favorite?

Yep, Berlin Freeper, I’ve already been to that thread too. :)
It’s not my type of music but plenty of conservative kids listen to it.
I can still hear my elders saying “who listens to that stuff (Zep, Skynyrd, etc) that isn’t a hippie or a commie?” :)
I worked in Manhattan as a messenger.
Yeah, you certainly do have a point there. I can’t live without rock n roll.

I HATE that Neil Young writes such catchy tunes and I cant listen to them.
Keep on Rocking in the Free World has great music but intensely nauseating lyrics. The Beatles only wrote one really commy song and i love the music to that one too but wont listen to it “Back in the USSR”
Thank God zep and Deep Purple didn’t get political :)
And Skynyrd was on our side :)
38 Special was great too.
Hot, but still a ‘ho.
Her slutty lyric music and persona did more to corrupt girls than any comparable “singer-entertainer” 15 years ago.
Britney Spears is America’s Tramp Stamp tattoo...
Britney Spears was asked to model for Victoria Secret’s latest Panty line.
Everything was fine until she was told that she would actually have to wear one.
Q: What did Britney’s right leg say to her left leg?
A: Nothing, they’ve never been together.
How about some
I’m done with Lynyrd Skynyrd, and a good many others from the same time period. I’ve been listening to their stuff for 40 years, and I’m tired of it.
Brittney is nothing more than a stripper. I can’t even say she has any singing ability in the age of Autotune-8
:) Long live rock!
I dont know why, but my older brother (10 years) didn’t have any Outlaw albums. I was born in ‘68.
I was 8 or 9 when I started listening to Deep Purple, Zep, Aerosmith, Queen and the Beatles. I found Skynyrd and 38 Special through friends and radio.
I must listen to some Outlaw songs. Recommendations please?
Bro, she is provocative, but she’s also as conservative as someone in that business can be and still have a career, believe it or not.
And how many other women are famous for that one reason? :)
Talentless
Garbage in, Garbage out.
How’s that workin’ for American “culture” these days?
I only mentioned Lynyrd l Skynyrd because of yesterday’s post. I listen to all kinds of rock n roll, metal, punk, and related rock n roll stuff.
I sometimes Mrs. Get on a band binge for a few more maths, move to something else, and maybe not listen to some of my favorites again for a year or two while I’m enjoying my library, rinse, wash, repeat.
I’ve been doing a lot of Zappa rock songs, Iron Maiden, Suffocation, Dying Fetus again recently. I’m sure I’ll be back on a Johnny Cash, Outlaws, Animals, Misfits, and Buddy Holly binge again soon too.
Green Grass and High Tides is probably their biggest hit, their version of Ghost Riders in the Sky rocks.
I know the first one and thanks for the second one. I would love a few more of their hidden gems. Ones that are great rock but didn’t go to top 10.
Some of my FAVORITE songs fit that genre.
