Prior to Obama, they weren't nearly as pro-government and reported news with some bias. Nowadays they often manufacture outright lies to support and protect their chosen ones. They've become the Ministry of Truth (and Propaganda).
Whenever there is a Democrat who is president, they become decidedly more pro government.
