I used to stop and help people, as well as pick up the occasional hitchhiker more often in the past. Anymore, as a rule, I don’t stop unless I’m carrying. But also anymore, I’m pretty much always carrying when I go out. Lots of crazy people out there, especially with so many meth users.
Chicago's downtown expressway traffic used to be notorious for that sort of sucker trap. A car pulled over with a "Damsel in distress" and two or more bad guys hiding behind the snow bank.
Never pull over for any reason. You stand to loose your car, phone, cash & credit cards, and any form of self defense you're carrying. To add insult to injury, they'll probably stump the crap out of you for being so inexcusably dumb.
