Here here, I have not had an air conditioner 20 years, but then I live about 1/2 mile from the So Cal coast, that helps, it was a blistering 80 degrees earlier this week but we muddled through.
Seriously! 80 whole degrees!
I live in Arizona with 110+ days weeks at a time. You can forget this no a/c meme.
Ha ha! Good for you for finding a very comfortable place to live! Having moved recently from the People’s Socialist Republic of Minnesota (beautiful summers) to Central Texas, I have learned that people in my new location put on cardigans when it dips down to 80 in August.
Even with that, I wouldn’t go back if I was offered an extra arm to do so.

It isnt some contest to see who can brag about sweating in the heat like it builds character.
My house is over 100 years old and the upper floors can easily hit 98 degrees on a sunny day.
I have AC because I live I the future where we don’t have to die of heat stroke.
80 in SoCal? Oh the horror.
We have a boat in Ventura. No air. I can muddle through on it when it gets about 83 inside. If it gets worse I go take a nice, long, cool walk up and down every aisle of Lowes. Lol. Our house is another story. It was 110 a couple of weeks ago. Our air runs at 78 all summer long. They can kiss my bohunkas.
