I can see in the video that they have their hands up. It has been agreed on all sides that the man pulled a gun on them. Seeing no obvious damage as has been alleged, at this point it looks reasonable to conclude they were "shaken down" i.e. robbed.

Somebody pulls a gun on me, and demands money before he will let me go, then I will conclude that I have been robbed, even if the man with the gun is wearing a uniform. Even if he IS a police officer.

This is exactly how I would see it too. Especially if the amount taken was $400.00 as I have heard a report that it was, rather than $50.00 as is the "official" narrative.

And now Brazil is demanding that this one guy pay $11,000.00 to charity before they will give him back his passport?

What sort of kangaroo government is this?
