Pro-Clinton Group 'Correct The Record' President: Trump's Appeal To Black Voters Is "Outrageous
RCP Video ^ | 8-18-2016 | Tim Hains

Brad Woodhouse, president of the pro-Clinton advocacy group 'Correct The Record' responds to Donald Trump's apology for offensive statements and his appeal to black voters in an interview with MSNBC's Joy Ann Reid.

(snip)

About Trump's appeal to African-Americans: "Well, that is completely outrageous. I mean, let's remember here, here's someone who was in Wisconsin the other day, talking, you know, talking about a -- a good game about the African-American community in front of an audience that was 95 to 99% white. He's rejected every invitation to speak before African-American audiences, NAACP and others. And here's someone who lived in birtherism. Joy, this birtherism against President Obama was nothing more than a dog whistle to tea party voters at the time, to say that the president is an other. He was other. He was muslim, he was Kenyan, and he was black. So this is an unbelievable from Donald Trump. You can't trust him on these issues."

Inner city ghettos should be demolished and replaced with good housing for families. Such a visionary project would create construction jobs with apprentice training for men & women and provide those same residents with salaries, self respect and a future. Wages for work, not welfare!!!!!!

We just need to find an individual with a successful record in construction.

Wow! What you are suggesting would require a dictator with a “Five Year” plan. What would replace it? Cement block soviet-style housing?
What needs to be rebuilt are the hearts and souls of the people living there. Do that and the cities would be rebuilt by them.

Demolishing the ghettos would destroy the very significant architectural beauty of these buildings and neighborhoods.

By the way, I was born and raised in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia. My grandparents lived in Fishtown. I lived in four of the worst sections of Philadelphia as a young adult when I attended post high schooling training, undergrad and graduate school. ( Powelton Village, West Philly, inner city, and North Broad St.)

The buildings you would destroy are very very beautiful both on the outside and inside.

Hillary started the birther idea back in ‘08. But let’s not have facts get in the way of a good meme. Trump is speaking to ALL Americans. He doesn’t need to seek out a black or hispanic “group” any more than he would seek out an all white group.

Not advocating destroying historic buildings, just the 20th century tenements -or perhaps - renovating. My emphasis should have been on creating the job opportunities for the unemployed doing something beneficial for themselves and the tax payers in their cities, counties and States.

Not sure who owns the tenements????? But they must cost the tax payers a fortune to maintain. And not another another Federal program, but a challenge to visionary entrepreneurs on the “flip or flop” premise.

Well Hillary was left with Obama taking time off to watch Trump steal their spotlight. This can’t be happening, the fox is guarding the hen house while the donkey sleeps.
