Sick in the mind Spartans as compared to the Persians? I think you’ve missed the essence of the story. Think Alamo. Maybe that will be easier for you to comprehend :)
Too many times, some folks don’t understand that the Bible can be used as a ^history^ text (alongside The Word of God).
The underdog isn’t always inspirational. Think Nazis as the Allied powers collapse in on it.
