Last night, while watching Donald Trump’s speech, I realized two things. The first was that the so-called “conservative pundit class” would hate his address. The second is that this election is now Trump’s to lose.
On the first point, I was proven right before the speech even ended. A quick glance at Twitter confirmed that the usual cadre of east coast, RNC faithful, talking heads were trashing Trump. His speech was “too dark,” or it was “negative,” or it was “fear mongering.” Folks like Red State’s Erick Erickson spent the night comparing Trump to Hitler, while others mocked the candidate’s appearance mercilessly.

They will belittle you, attack your wife, attack your family, and try to demonize you like they did Sarah Palin. Trump is enough of a warrior to parry the shots. Cannot wait to watch.
I still think so much less of Cruz, the Bushes (esp. GW), and the others who continue to rag on Trump. Talk about small-minded. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. Talk about insignificant has-beens.
Pundits are the reason why I can’t watch “Fox News” any more. OAN for me. I will make up my own mind, thanks. Oh, I also would like to hear news, not bloviating jack-wagons.
Democrats get and keep whole demographics by “fear mongering.” Gopes dont like anything that Democrats could accuse of being fear mongering because Republicans don’t want to offend Democrats and because Republicans don’t want to be seen by MSM as trying to get votes.
The speech was “dark and negative” for the prospects of the Democrats in a legitimate election.
The thing that gets me is that they’re saying all this “law and order” talk is somehow fascist, reminiscent of Hitler, etc...
My question is simply this: Since when was following the law a bad thing?
I’m sorry, I lack the ability to somehow connect wanting to enforce our laws as written as anything heinous or evil.

It’s bad to enforce laws like immigration and the First and Second Amendments to the Constitution...
But it’s good to enforce laws like dudes in dresses going into the ladies rooms and showers, baking cakes when you don’t want to, and slicing baby necks when they’re 3/4 out of the womb.
Last night duing the speech, wI was watching a Trumps body language and his expressions and he had the appearance of a mad dad who's pissed of at your sibling after they were caught crawling through the window stoned and drunk. It was almost as if I were sitting there and was the good son and the Dems were the bad son while he lectured and chastised them for the evil they'd done. It occurred to me then it that the reason they left hates Trump so is because he won't let them continue to do whatever they want to and is holding them accountable for the destruction they've wreaked the past 7 1/2 years. It's as though he came back home after his flight was cancelled and found his house being trashed and looted by his bad son who thought he would be away for the weekend. Only what the Dems and progressive lefties is far more destructive than that. They want to bulldoze the house, put a a different address on the mailbox, and claim he's at he wrong house when he arrives home.
