Pretty much like talking to any Obama supporter the first 5-6 years. They truly wanted to believe in their “messiah”.
It’s the spirit of antichrist. Only thing that explains such bizarre behavior.
Yes, it's a cult of personality. There's nothing rational about it.
To be fair, I've seen some of that behavior among Trump supporters, even here on FR. But, it's much less pronounced -- and in most cases it is less pro-Trump and more anti-GOPe.
While I don't think it's productive for Trump to antagonize the GOPe, I do think he should try to tap into the disgust with the "Uniparty". There is a huge bloc of people that don't vote simply because they are dissatisfied with the choices offered by the major parties, and think voting for a third party is a waste of their time. If Trump can tap into that group and bring even a small percentage to the polls in November -- especially in the battleground states -- he can sew up the election.
The difference is they didn't want to know anything about Obama. They flat out refused to listen. With what they did know about Obama. Which was Obama was black therefore a great pick for president(which is pure and simple racism.) Hillary they already know.
Obama they loved. Hillary they hate but the fear drives them to vote.
Apathy will set in for many.

Few really rest in such an explanation, however, but it is spiritual. We were warned. Where is it, in Luke 24, or was it 23? We don’t win this battle. At least in any earthly sense. We are graced to recognize it, though.
