I wonder if Hillary has ever done an honest day’s work in her life, at any job of any kind???

Put another way, has Hillary ever gotten a paycheck from a private business, a business which sells goods and services to customers? Has she always just worked in law firms, pressure groups such as Children’s Defense Fund, and then in public office???

No. She has never had a real job. Nor has Obama.

Gov. Paul LePage has strongly hinted that he intends to run for the U.S. Senate in 2018 when his second term is up (against Angus King).

Indeed. An honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay is a good thing. More of the Left ought to give it a try one day.

“Ann LePage is awesome.”

Yes, she certainly is.

I live in Maine, and Ann LePage works with disabled veterans.....she has even gone sky diving with these men.
She is very down to earth (no pun intended).

The Lt. Governor of Texas is paid $7,200 a year. I’m told he’s also put on a lot of corporate boards.

So she does something millions of Americans do? She works? Don’t know anything about her. She is probably a very nice person, but I fail to see why it is newsworthy.

Get back to me when she works at The Waffle House or Mikey D’s.

I wouldn’t say Maine is Communist. Granted, the area around Portland is moonbat central, but that’s probably because it’s close to Massachusetts.

The rural areas are more conservative, and a VERY strong Second Amendment sentiment exists in most of the state.
We have both Constitutional Carry and Open Carry. Even switchblades were made legal as part of the same bill that made Constitutional Carry a reality.

Large areas of the state are purple rather than blue, and some political pundits have said these areas have been trending red recently. I hope that continues.

She’s a waitress at a diner. How is that that different from McDonald’s or Waffle House?

I live in Maine, and employers have been complaining that they are not enough potential employees to hire.

Their is a labor shortage here, especially in the summer.

“There are plenty of jobs in Maine during the summer. The place is crawling with tourists. Anybody who really wants to work should be able to find a job.”

This is just a stunt to get a higher salary for the governor, lots of people in Maine would love to make $70k/yr. He knew what the salary was coming in. I missed the part where it said this was a summer job. Reeks of cronyism in my opinion.

Good for her. I have more respect for an average waitress than I do for ANY politician. And I that quite literally, not as some hyperbole.

Good. There is no reason for any government employee to be paid more than the average wage in the taxpayer pool that is on the hook to support them.

But of course she was a hot shot lawyer in the Rose Law Firm and earned much more than Bill in those days.

She was the bag lady in the operation. They were running a protection racket out of the Governor's office. Same as the Clinton Family Foundation during her tenure as Secretary of State. If there was ever a more flagrant and transparent conflict of interest in American history, I cannot imagine what it was.

The hours, pay, tips (none at Mickey D’s) to start with. BTW-that is not what I think of as a diner.

It is not unusual for the spouse of a politician to work. Not news.

It’s the title. Lowest paid governor - wife now watressing, Really? Am I supposed to be impressed she works, or feel sorry for her because she has to get a “ waitressing” job to make ends meet or to afford a new car.

Not personally directed to her. She seems to be well thought of. More power to her. My issue is with the article and the authors. I do not like being manipulated which is exactly what the title was supposed to do.

Question: In addition to salary what other compensation does the gov. receive? Not only in Maine but the other states as well. Housing allowances, subsistence allowances, etc. Total compensation, not just salary need to be taken into account as well as the average salary and COL of the state in general need to be considered.
