It is inhumane not to feel deeply for the horrific suffering of innocent people who suffered so terribly from the nuclear attacks in Japan.

But the U.S.A. is not at fault. The fault lies with the Japanese emperor and Japan’s imperial warlike culture.

Let’s get that straight.

The other choices were to starve Japan into submission, or invade.

Both would have resulted in much higher causalities.

I get into this argument on the Religion Forum all the time. Japan in WWII was evil. They did some rather horrific things to the territories they conquered.

When you start wars, expect blow back. Something the US needs to acknowledge as well.

Not using the bombs would have resulted in at least a half million American dead and three million or more Japs, plus millions more hurting. Outside of a few individuals who deserve to suffer, I prefer quick, clean kills, so I guess I'm humane.
