If you are “harvesting” radio waves, it’s not exactly “free” energy, because the radio station is paying for the power to run the transmitter. In a sense, it’s stealing energy.

I don’t know if I’d say stealing, since the radio stations, etc, send the energy out there with no expectation that it will ever return.

However, you’re right, it’s not “free”, it’s just “free for me”.
