A received radio wave is AC. Running it through a diode converts it to DC.

Whatever happened to that E-Cat that was being hawked a few years ago?Not to mention the battery breakthrough that will make cellphones hold a charge for weeks. Never happens.
About the only breakthrough we've had in energy is fracking.

This has been around for a while. The reason why it isn’t a thing isnt because of some conspiracy, it’s because the output is so pathetically tiny, it’s useless.
You can power a string of LEDs or a simple LCD clock, but that is about it.
Scaling it up isnt going to really light a 30W light bulb.
