When Pope Francis met with Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb on Monday, he told him that our meeting is the message. So precisely what kind of message was Pope Francis attempting to convey? Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb is the Grand Imam of Cairos Al-Azhar Mosque, and some have described him as the highest figure in Sunni Islam. The Daily Mail said that the meeting between these two men was a historic bid to reopen dialogue between the two churches, and as you will see below this is yet another in a long series of attempts by Pope Francis to build bridges between Catholicism and various other faiths. In the end, what are we to make of all of this? Could it be possible that Pope Francis is laying the groundwork for the super world church and the coming one world religion that David Wilkerson and so many others have warned about?
Pope Francis made sure that when he embraced Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb there would be plenty of reporters there to document the moment. The following is an excerpt from a Daily Mail article entitled Pope embraces grand imam at historic Vatican meeting in a bid to bring the Catholic and Muslim churches together

Jesus did not meet with rulers to explore harmony. He stood as anathema to the world system and its plotters. “Children of the light” (1 Thes 5) cannot have harmony with the children of the Devil (who is the spirit at work behind the world system).
I’m Ex-Catholic.
“Pope’s” primary focus should be Christ and preaching the truth. He’s failed to do that since he become “Pope”.
Washing the feet of Hindu’s and Muslims does nothing but encourage more ecumenism, which IMO is what the RCC is all about anyways.
Very well stated!

I don’t know how I feel about feet washing. Jesus encouraged his disciples to wash one another’s feet. Did that also mean non-Christians as well? I think it is harmless to perform this symbolic act of friendship.
On the other hand, in the context of the passage, it seemed to demonstrate that his followers should provide service and comfort among one themselves.
Obviously we do not need to have someone wash our feet anymore, because we don’t travel down dirt roads with open toe shoes are our primary form of transportation.
John 18:26 Jesus said My Kingdom is not of this world...
I would add that when the Pope is washing Muslims feet, it would confirm the notion in the presence of all of Islam that Christianity was subservient of islam.
That image is certainly not what Christ would want. It is kind of like allowing yourself the appearance of being associated with evil.
Yes, but he’s doing it in an act of symbolism to try to create “harmony” between different religions.
It’s not just the Pope that’s pushing this crazy madness for religious unity.
Rick Warren, Joel Osteen, Andy Stanley, Jesse Duplantis, Kenneth Copeland and a host of others in the “Protestant Church” are pushing the same deceit.
I think there is very little that followers of Christians can talk about followers of mo-ham-head on a religious level. I think the biggest thing the two leaders can talk about is the assurance of safety of their religions in their particular regions. Pope Benedict ask the Imam to do more to ensure the safety of Christians in Egypt, and the Imam cut off communication with the Vatican until Francis showed up.

EXACTLY as Jewish prophesy says.

Beware of the Pope!
Beware of the EU!
Beware of the one mentioned in Daniel 11:21-22 who speaks with flattery!
Why Egypt? Why now? Why does this perfectly jibe with US intentions regarding Egypt and Libya-Egypt?
My Egypt posts the last two weeks explain why.
There's a reason Rome is surrounding Israel and marrying Ishmael.
It’s not a leftist lie to call out the RC church as false. Scripture doesn’t support it. I know you won’t agree, and this debate has raged for a long time, but truth is truth. The end game is close I feel, so I don’t mind speaking out.
Matthew 16:18
Psalm 83
Ezekiel 38
Facepalm.
That’s the usual stuff that will get touted out. Misread and misunderstood. He also calls Peter Satan, and he was married etc. Just cherry pick what works for you though.
The truth is that we are saved by grace, belief in Jesus Christ the son of God, crucified and risen.
I need no other mediator, I need no other authority.
the “Facepalm” was unnecessary and rude.. so you don’t agree..God be with you.
