When are we going to get a break from this tiresome person? She thinks she’s clever, that’s the most annoying part. Riding Reagan’s coattails into the realm of the cartoonish yet no one seems to notice.

I’ve never seen this negative comment before, or any other from Peggy. She seems to bask in his glow, especially among those who weren’t around then and worship some shopworn image.
IIRC, she carries a deep grudge for the record being corrected about her having a trivial role in the Berlin Wall speech. She became a bitter enemy of GWB when he declined her offer to write speeches for him. She later expressed admiration for Obama. I’m not a Noonan fan.
