Some of you may remember my Proud Poppa Alert last week about my son. Well, The military made him re-take the ASVAB to verify that he didn't cheat on the one he took last week. He scored higher this time. He scored 147/150 on the GT and 149/150 on the mathematics.
He became a US Marine 2 hours ago.

My old high school girlfriends’ marine son was chosen to represent The Corp in certain billboard adverts. She went up into the clouds and may never come down. Gotta admit I was about as impressed as I’ve ever been.

By the way, here is where you go to get Marine stuff. I bought the PFC challenge coin with my son’s name and the date he graduated boot camp engraved on the back. Since then, I’ve bought the Lance Corporal and Corporal coins. He has lots of other coins, too, and his dad bought a coin cabinet.
