When the bead cools, it draws the bearing race in, and it just falls out of the hole.
I’m not sure it’s so much the bead draws the race in as much as the bore the race is in doesn’t heat up, so the race can’t expand when heated, so it gets fatter, then shrinks when it cools.
Either way, sounds like it would work.
