Men who deliberately make themselves unfit for combat (like, for example, shooting themselves in the leg) get court-martialed.
Women who get pregnant on active duty should be dismissed with a less-than-honorable discharge, and be ineligible for any military benefits.

They should get such a discharge, but they won’t. However, that isn’t entirely my point.
I believe unit cohesion relies on high retention and a high level of combat readiness. If you have a company that is 50/50 male female, it is unrealistic to believe that will happen. If half of the women get pregnant you are at a measly 75% combat readiness at any given time. That is assuming that the majority of the 50% women were draftees who never really wanted to be there in the first place.
She was a pretty blue eyed blonde girl told me about her problems with the Dykes constantly harassing her in the women's facility. She was clearly living in fear. I even talked to her once while she very distraught and weeping openly on military property. Nobody in authority would help her.
I ran into her once in a while and she seemed always stressed.
The last time that I saw her, she told me that she was ETSing because she got herself pregnant and opted for the Honorable.
There are a million stories out there.
