As if half of them have ever earned an honest dollar in their lives.

I knew something was amiss when you had all these people volunteering to work Open Source Software (OSS) projects. For free.

The millennials have never experienced capitalism. They have lived under corporatism which has given them crushing college debt, jobs in the service industry, and a bed in the parent’s basement.

They have told that capitalism caused their situation.

The adults we read about in the WSJ, IBD, Forbes, etc., reject capitalism too - unless, of course, it’s crony capitalism.

That brand of capitalism is just fine.

Capitalism is supposed to be so bad, yet you only really ever see people fleeing socialist and communist countries. Hmmm...

I think it is reasonable to assume that the rank hypocrisy and corruption of our leaders (in both politics and business) has had as much to do with this as the leftist indoctrination in the education system.

That’s what firing squads are for.

As soon as a strongman takes power in Washington and makes it clear that its NOT OK to be a communist, (Progressive my ass), in fact it’s ridiculously dangerous to ones health, the marxists in DC, academia, and the press will get the message loud and clear.

Communists never go away peacefully.

They have to be neutralized, exterminated with extreme prejudice.

Surveys have found that they are more than twice as likely to support gay rights and less than half as likely to regularly attend church as the oldest Americans are...

and that, friends, is the elephant in the room. or the hillary. either one.

They have been successfully dumbed down by their teachers. And people say loyalty oaths for teachers aren’t needed.

Work, or starve. A simple equation. The government will help them decide. After all, a whole bunch of somebodys HAVE to work to support the government. We can’t expect .gov to earn its keep, now, can we...?

Apparently they dislike both socialism & capitalism. But are fond of free markets:

Capitalism has just become a bad word that bears connotations of big banks and monolithic corporate greed.

I blame the world wide web, but not in the way most would expect. Early in the days of the web, startup companies burned through startup capital trying to find out how people would pay for something on the internet. Most went bankrupt. But some like Google, ended up being wildly successful. They did it by seemingly offering their services for free. Even though people do pay for the internet and its services, there is a big distracting shell game as to who pays for what to keep the internet running. Many people receive services for free, paid for by the few who want to advertise or collect information.

For many, this is what they want in the whole economy. They just want everything for free, paid for by someone else.

That is because Mommy and Daddy have provided for them and sheltered them from the cold, harsh realities of life. Once they have a real job and see how much ‘free’ programs cost them in taxes, these little snowflakes wise up and grow up really quickly.

One of the giant mistakes conservatism has made since 1980 us to allow the principles of free enterprise to be improperly conflated with the short-term interests of multi-national corporations. “Capitalism” now means collusion with government and corruption to young people, who in turn mistakenly support “anti-capitalist” politicians who love to pass legislation that smashes Joe’s Flower Shop in the mouth and ignores JP Morgan or Monsanto.
