I don't know whether that's even true or not. I know that Trump talks about issues a lot.
In any event, whether Trump employed that strategy "first" or not, one thing for sure is that Ted Cruz has taken the "trash the other guy" strategy to incredible new heights.
And Ted Cruz does flat out lie about Trump's positions. And when someone points out his distortion, he just won't let it go.
I honestly have to conclude that Ted Cruz is willing to lie if he thinks it will help him win.
There's no question that he grossly distorts Donald Trump's positions on many issues. Just absolute misrepresentation.
I don't know why he thinks that's necessary, or even effective.
I don't think that the moniker "Lyin' Ted Cruz" began as the truth, but Ted Cruz, in his blindly ambitious drive to win at any cost, now personifies the label. He'd have much more impact if he just touted his own policy positions, instead of lying about Mr. Trump's.
Ted Cruz's GOPe/Machiavellian tactics are pretty easy for people to see for themselves...
Vote Trump
“Low energy”, “loser”, “embarrassment”, “dumb as a rock”, any of these ring a bell? All directed at his first target, Jeb Bush.
“Weak like a baby” - Rubio
has a pathological disease, like a child molester. A child molester, theres no cure for that, - Carson
“Carly, whatever the hell her name is” - Fiorina
All Trump quotes.
Don’t you see the irony of saying that you don’t think “Lying Ted Cruz” began as the truth....meaning, it was a lie to call him that?
