Is Obama & the DOJ totally immune
4/28/16 | DrDude

POTUS has determined that Loretta Lynch should continue to stall on the Hillary Clinton email and "Pay For Play" fiasco. Is there any way to charge Lynch with Conspiracy to hinder the investigation? If not now, what about if Trump wins the election? Would love to hear any opinions on this matter. I know they can't touch Obama due to his POTUS status.

Impeachment is the only remedy I can think of.

Relax.

The FBI and the professionals at DOJ do not hold press conferences to update you on the status of ongoing investigations, AND, when you shoot at the Queen, you have to make sure of the first shot, because you only get one.

The wheels of justice grind slowly, but they grind exceeding fine.

Obama just wants to lock the GOP narrative into how bad Hillary is before Biden/Warren step into the spotlight.

If Trump wins, you will see a quick Pardon of Clinton by Obama.

I agree. But the President can only pardon federal crimes. So it would be interesting to know if Hillary broke any state crimes (wire fraud, etc.).

It hasn’t come up yet. We don’t know what the FBI is going to say, or how the Justice Department will act.

I wish you are correct. Doesn’t seem like anything is happening at all. 35 years of Law Enforcement and dealing with Prosecutors and State AG’s has made me very cynical. I have a few problems with the matter. IT guy given immunity but refuses to speak to Congress. I somehow doubt there will ever be a forum for him to testify. $6 Billion missing from State and not a hint this is being investigated. Clinton funding the entire DNC via Foundation but no one checking the money trail. Guccifer being hidden in US to shut him up.

Hillary has already made admissions of guilt. She could be charged with the email security violations while other charges are being investigated. Either way she seems too comfortable with the situation. She knows Biden has no chance of winning anything. I live near Delaware and have followed him for years. He is a total moron. Warren wouldn’t get as much as Bernie.

“If Trump wins, you will see a quick Pardon of Clinton by Obama.”.......

You can’t pardon someone who has yet to be convicted. I would hope that Clinton will indeed get her due, assuming she does NOT become POTUS.

If the DOJ refuses to indict an obvious federal crime, leaks and congressional investigations could follow. Followed by FBI resignations and congressional testimony, could this not also take down Obama?

Really, isn’t this worse than Watergate in perspective? Nixon only threatened to use the IRS as a political weapon. Obama DID! The whole house of cards could come down if either Hillary or Obama, or their staff were to turn on the other. The stakes are escalating and at some point Obama or Hillary might conclude they have to throw the other one under the bus just to be able to walk away from it.

I’m an optimist at heart.

Well at least Obama can’t give immunity if not charging anyone.

President Trump would IMO pick it up and go forward if it merits it which most think it does.

“Either way [HRC] seems too comfortable with the [email investigation] situation.”

I respectfully disagree. Yes, HRC’s in a good mood lately because Bernie Sanders seems to have been neutralized. However, her response whenever the private server investigation comes up has been peevish for the past year, which indicates it's a sore subject. If HRC were confident this really would come to nothing, she'd speak more mildly about it, along the lines of, “I understand the FBI needs to look closely at this, and I trust them to be thorough.” Instead, she clearly is ticked off when she is asked about it. Also, while Obama’s comments about how HRC didn't mean to do any harm and didn't actually do any harm were inappropriate, he really didn't do her any favors when he said, “She's said there was ‘carelessness’”. Actually, HRC said no such thing, nor would she have, as “carelessness” when it comes to national security issues is a very big deal. And HRC cannot be happy that Trump will be the nominee, since Trump will not hold back about ANYTHING. If the FBI and the DOJ punt on the server investigation, you can bet Trump will hammer her with it every day. In fact, HRC’s popularity may be more imperiled if she is NOT indicted, than if she is!

There is a time factor to consider. If The DOJ is going to indict Hillary then time is working against the Democrats in presenting her replacement by November.

Allow me to be the first to point out the Ford pardon of Nixon, who hadn't even been indicted (or impeached), let alone convicted.

Trump has read the Democrats manual “Rules For Radicals” and is applying their own tactics quite well. Ruthlessly in fact, which I am sure terrifies the Dems. Add too it the numerous legal problems of Hillary and I suspect we are about to live through the Democrats worst nightmare, much to my delight!

Very well said.

In fact, you deserve a prize. We could call it the Noble Prize, maybe.
