“Wow... Youre awful sure of translations there, arent you Boogie?”
Certainly, the Greek language is no big mystery, so there isn’t any reason to believe a simple word like that would be mistranslated. Besides, we have the testimonies of the church fathers on the subject which attest that the early copies of the book contained the same word, so it can’t be argued that there was some copying error over the centuries. These type of lame arguments are the last resort of someone who is fixated on reading a preferred interpretation INTO the text, rather than simply accepting what the text says.
“The fact that you will not even allow for the possibility that a social security number IS THE MARK OF THE BEAST is proof that you are terrified of being wrong... “
Sorry, it’s completely illogical to think that the mark, which is applied to EVERYONE ON THE PLANET could be equivalent to a social security number, which isn’t even applied to everyone in one country on the planet. I’m not “terrified of being wrong”, because I haven’t advanced any theory as to what the mark will be, so there is nothing for me to be proven wrong about. Your theory is already demonstrated to be wrong, all that remains is for you to accept that fact, or decide to favor your own fantasies over the clear words of Scripture. The choice is yours.
Where does it say everyone the planet again?
