After all these months of Rush backing Cruz and then saying this? WOW...Rush must have got the message: “You back anyone other than Trump, your finished”...
Rush doesn’t understand Cubanadian ju-jitsu.
That’s how a candidate who gets <20% in swing state primaries wins them in November.
We have been saying that for months.
If there is a Brokered Convention and G.O.P pisses away it's momentum with Shenanigans, than they are going to Lose in November, even if Cruz is the Nominee.
Whoever it is going to be needs to win outright. Too Much Bad Blood would have been brewed in our own ranks for the Repub Nominee to win. (We control our own destiny, 2016 is ours to lose)
And The GOPe and Bosses are perfectly fine with a loss.
Why? Because what difference would it make? Hillary is Pres? oh no....They still have their Buffets, Their Crackers and Cheese and they get to go to Nine Rivers Country Club every Sunday, so shut up base.
If Cruz, Romney, Bush, Kasich, Rubio, Huckebee get the nomination and wins the general election it would be no different to the outcome of our nation.
The last four Presidents have been socialists, Bush II, doubled the size of government. The GOPe are all socialist NWO.
The end of the GOP that refused to impeach Traitorobama or anyone in his regime is a good thing! The GOP does not deserve to exist.
And if some real conservative political party is developed and cannot win elections, then the U.S. is finished anyway.
There are interesting thoughts to be had on the matter.
Anything other than letting the people decide the candidate is signing the death warrant for the GOP.
And maybe we need to tear it down and start over. I mean, if the GOPe is so hell-bent on ignoring the base, this is a golden opportunity for a 3rd party run for Trump, founding a new conservative party OF the people, BY the people, and FOR the people.
I’m sickened by the GOPe. I’ve played nice and worked toward steering the Republican ship toward conservative values. But if the leadership is determined to ignore their constituency, not just for a year or two but over the course of decade and more, what other recourse do we have? If they ignore the will of the people during this Convention, that will be the last straw. Absolutely the last straw.
I was a Cruz supporter early and gave his campaign money, but he has jumped the shark.
The GOP is over whether Cruz wins or Trump wins.
The rift is too deep.
Hillary will be president (unless she is indicted, but laws are for little people).
The Senate will be lost, and the house weakened.
The SCOTUS will have another dyke on it.
Sounds like Rush has woken up to reality.
I stopped listening when he went full-throated on Rubio.
Cruz and cohorts are now working against the citizens in their quest to stop the illegal alien inundation.
Really do not give a damn what happens to the GOP, but this would also be about the end of the road for America too.
Cruz is playing a dangerous game. He’s not worth it.

Cruz is a megalomaniac and he’d rather see the country go through hell than to bow out.
Listening to Rush actually say this, the headline is rather misleading. Rush is NOT capitulating nor begging the candidates to make peace. At one point he is encouraging this “explosion” by saying that Cruz has no other path but the second or third ballot and pushing him towards it. As usual, Rush sounds split.
And all this time, I thought bringing down the party as it’s currently constituted was the point.....
You can’t have it both ways. Either the establishment stays in control or the current sucker’s gotta burn in order to rebuild.
Funny. I thought that concept was an essential tenent of the Trump campaign. At least, his supporters here.
It is the end of the HOP anyway you look at it
The GOP has been dead since the day Trump announced. The best candidates, such as Walker, couldn’t get any traction with Trump getting all the media attention. All that’s left is Trump, whose positions and loyalties are never certain, and Cruz, whose election will make the 2000 court battles look like a walk in the park, with no supreme court to settle the matter. Oh yeah, and there’s Kasich.
The establishment is moribund, and the pro and anti-Trump factions are probably irreconcilable.
I’d say keep your powder drive, but it’s likely that Hillary will be sending law enforcement personnel to take our weapons.
This used to be a hell of a country. If you know the mourner’s Kadesh, it’ll soon be time to say it over the tomb of the late, great, United States of America.
