Japan is committing suicide with their low birth rates.
An article by Dr. Aya Takada in “Bloomberg” about next step in farming?
Look at bio info:
Dr. “Aya Takada”, Pathology, Cardiology, Political Science http://academic.research.microsoft.com/Author/26159275/aya-takada
His background is not agriculture technology, not engineering, not computer science.
He appears to be a MD who is connected with Cardiology and Pathology, but interested in Political Science.
What could possibly go wrong? Headshake
It is not the birth rates in this case ; it’s that the vast majority of young people don’t want to be farmers like their parents . Most go to college and then live in big cities where the jobs are .
Meh, I guess you could say the culture unwilling to have babies is crazy.
What do you say about a country that imports book-hating child molesters who treasures fluorescent Jesus figurines to have them FOR YOU..?
Hmm...?
So are we. We are also destroying our society by importing tens of millions of third world peasants. Legally and illegally.
It’s the same in this country, not many young people want to run the family farm.I figure that I’m good for another 5 years and after that I just don’t know.
Advertise for an apprentice. At least, whomever owns your farm wont be going anywhere. A lot of European or Zimbabwe or South African farmers wouldn’t mind coming over and taking over.
That’s a thought.I do have a local farmer who’s about 10 years younger than me who has expressed an interest in leasing our land.
Was watching NHK World the other day, and they had a feature presentation about this very thing. The aging population in certain sectors (farming, skilled labor) with no young people to fill the slots is causing Japan to seek outside. They are going to southeast Asia and bringing in young workers from places like Vietnam, Philippines, and Singapore.
would it be cheaper for Japan for us to just send all our illegals to them on all those empty container ships going back?
They allow almost NO immigration of any kind, especially Muslim.
They can work in our fields and give us e-Coli.
Yup.
Ticks me off that I can’t scrap that car and the trees around it.
Silent Running
That's what I'm talking about!
