It's kinda cute how you guys fall for that fluffy bit of hagiography from the Trump story writers. I remember the Bill Clinton "Man from Hope" one his team put together, or the sweet goofy made up tales that Team Obama put out about how Barrak wooed Michelle. I always wondered where they found the saps who would believe them.

The reality is that Fred Trump built an empire of 29,000 housing units in NYC. He took Donald on board and eventually gave him control of the empire. Housing in NYC is some of the most valuable real estate on Earth. But he's self made.

I guess you each focused on that bit of minutiae and ignored the rest of my post because you're finally starting to realize that we're right about the phony you've decided to worship. It must feel like you're coming out of a coma.

Trump did EVENTUALLY get control over the apartments - long after he made it. The salary that he got for mostly being in charge wasn’t of the kind that makes one a billionaire.

Housing in NYC SUCKS! Ever hear of rent control? That’s what Trump’s father had to deal with for decades, and Trump decided NOT to do that - but to be mostly involved with non-controlled commercial real estate.

I never said that he didn’t have a leg up - after all, having a $1 million loan in the late 1960s is like a $5 million loan now...I don’t know about you, but my father never did that for me. But SO WHAT? $1 million wasn’t turned into $1+ billion by unicorn farts and pixie dust - Trump entered into partnerships on several risky deals and made them into a success. Luck played a part, to be sure, but being ready, willing and able to take part in deals in a particular place at a particular time isn’t just luck, it is hard-work and risk-taking. No one handed Trump billions, he made the vast majority of it himself.

Oh, and I don’t worship him any more than I worship any other fallible human being...nor do I believe that you worship the equally fallible Cruz or Kasich. Let’s try getting above that kind of petty and childish “argument.”

Once you get this stuff right, then we can talk about the rest.

Makes up all the stories you like Cruz does! Are you so jealous of success?
