Cinco de mayo is a Mexican holiday celebrating the victory of the then scrappy Mexican army against at the time a world superpower France. Thus ending France’s and Napoleon’s occupation of the recently independent Mexico. Down here in Texico it’s a excuse to drink margaritas and eat fajitas till you pass out ;-) yesterday was San Jacinto day when the scrappy Texian army kicked the snot out of Santa Anna’s tyranny a$$ I was at a Mexican restaurant drinking Shiner Bock rubbing it in yesterday for happy hour ha.
