I heard him say “leave it as it is.”
When he said leave it as it is he had just talked about the expense of building new bathrooms and how that discriminated against transgenders. When he said leave it as it is he was referring to the law against transgenders using the bathroom they identify with. So he meant leave it where they can use any bathroom so we don’t have to go through the expense of building special bathrooms and descriminating against them.
I thought the way you did at first until I saw the actual context where he thought they we’re being decriminated against.
He was not referring to “ leaving the men only /women only” bathroom rules “ as it is” Jim..
It has been talked about and replayed all day.
He was referring to allowing transgenders the right to use what restroom they feel “ comfortable” in...
Totally unacceptable in my books.
