Left pretty excited to see racist Americans recoil at $20 bills featuring Harriet Tubman
You almost wonder if they did it just to bait certain people into racist reactions, because boy, what a story that would be for the race-baiting left and their media allies in a presidential election year. Defeat the Tubman-hating racist Republicans!
Of course, there’s nothing at all wrong with Harriet Tubman being on the $20 bill, because a) she was a perfectly admirable historical figure; and b) it doesn’t matter in the slightest whose face is on your money. This is the sort of meaningless sybolism the left loves to pick fights over, and in this case they’ve already started attacking all the “right-wing racists” before any have even come forward. Occupy Democrats got the ball rolling yesterday:

Tubman is fine but putting the revolting Eleanor Roosevelt (proposed for the $5 bill) on anything but toilet paper is awful.
Replace a Democrat slave owner with a Black Republican. Oh my!

They wanted Tubman to highlight slavery. They could have put Condoleezza Rice on the $5 to highlight progress instead.

I’m ok with her, we should turn it on them and point out that she was republican. The republican party was the anti slavery ‘black’ party. Maybe it would make people start asking questions on why democrats have rewritten history to hide the true platform of the democrat party.
(A) I suspsct this administration isn’t done (the bills come out in 2030) and (B) I suspect they are aiming to claim “real estate” on the nation’s currency (front and back) such that Ronald Reagan will not be so honored within the next 50 years (effectively written out of history).

As a child, I was always fascinated by currency from other countries — it looked so cartoony and colorful compared to our “greenbacks.” Now our greenbacks are going the way of the rest of the world!!! But I like the idea of Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill. If the leftists think folk are racists, I hope the left is disappointed.
Maybe they are trying to push buttons that will get Trump nominated. Maybe we should put Sirhan Sirhan ion it.
