I voted for Ted Cruz and I agree with Huckabee on this.
There more details that leak out the more it seems that the republicans have a system similar to that of the democrats’ “Super Delegates”.
They just have different terminology and have been able to keep it under wraps a little longer.
Disgusting indeed...A vote for Cruz is a vote for the establishment and business as usual. It’s just the illusion of change that he is peddling.
Memo from On High:
1. Forget the bad stuff we said about Huck.
2. Like Krispy and Pyramid, he’s now One of Us.
3. Gooble gobble.
These nasty tactics are destroying Cruz’s credibility and his chances to ever win any political office again. It wouldn’t be quite as bad if he would just keep his mouth shut about it. It is one thing to be disenfranchising millions of voters; it is another thing to be bragging about it.
Huckabee will always do whatever he can to keep the most conservative candidate out.
We Trump supporters aren’t trying to save the GOP! we want them destroyed as in reduced to dust so they no longer can sell us out for their personal gain ever again!
How many of you skirt the tax law by claiming every possible deduction and the a bit extra to not pay as much taxes? So now, what’s wrong with working within the rules to get every possible delegate? There is no obligation an any state to hold popular votes in primary elections for President. It ain’t in the constitution folks. Get over it!
It’s also disrespectful.
I do not appreciate Ted Cruz anymore.
So you win Florida with 45.7% of the vote and you end up with 100% of the delegates. This is disgusting and disturbing.
See? Works both ways. Stop whining.
538 electors in the electoral college, 270 needed to win. One elector for each House critter, two for senators. Simple.
You can believe the left branch, and even the right branch of Uniparty would be screaming bloody murder if one of their electors decided they decided they didn’t want to vote with the voters they are expected to represent.
Resident Cruzers would say, the candidate not receiving the vote s/he earned from American voters didn’t know what he was doing or wasn’t “working hard enough” and/or was “whining” about losing.
When in fact they won.
I suppose it could be explained as a matter of ‘whose ox is getting gored,’ but oddly enough it seems to be only Cruz who is gaining these fickle delegates.
Consequently, we see here the disgust by the rest of us to these lame, no, not lame—risible excuses for delegate theft, similar to the outrage that would be expressed by (at least the left wing of) Uniparty if the same thing happened November 6th.
Mike swings million of evangelicals fro lyin’ ted.
So you win Missouri by two-tenths of one percent and you end up with 67% more delegates. This is disgusting and disturbing.
So you win the Northern Mariana Islands, which has about five people in it and can’t even vote in November, and you win nine delegates out of it. This is disgusting and disturbing.
The point being, the rules for awarding delegates vary from state to state. Sometimes that works for my guy, sometimes that works for your guy. Everybody knew—or could know—the rules ahead of time and plan accordingly. Failure to plan on your part is not “stealing” on my part. Oh, well. Get over it. Stop whining.
Ping!

Gotta love how Trump and all of his supporters start complaining now. Was Huckabee conolaining about this last election cycle? What a joke this while damn thing has become.
I think that I’m in the dark about what Huckabee is saying- Is he saying that if Trump gets close but short of 1237, that there should be no second ballot? That everybody should throw in the towel, and just give it to Trump? Is that what he’s got his panties in a twist about? I am under the impression that if no one gets the majority (1237), the delegates go to second ballot, which releases some (not all) from being bound. That’s the way it’s always been.....
This is what Gingrich has been pointing out for weeks.
If the GOPe steals the nomination from Donald Trump, the party will be dead by January 1, 2017.
A new party will rise from the ashes of the self-immolating GOP and will become a big force in national politics, and what's left of the GOP will wither and die.
This is why the wishful (delusional) thinking of Ted Cruz supporters is becoming so comical.
For them to think that Ted Cruz can waltz into the convention several hundred delegates shy of a majority, and steal the nomination from Donald Trump, is truly the height of arrogance, naivete, and conceit.
Within a week or so from this Wednesday, Ted Cruz will be calling for unity behind the presumptive nominee, Donald Trump.
Any other behavior on Ted Cruz's part will be foolish, misguided, selfish, and would likely bring on the destruction of the GOP itself, because Trump voters aren't going to be disenfranchised. They are the biggest and most enthusiastic and energized voting bloc, and after all of the shenanigans the GOPe has already pulled, the convention would descend into chaos, the party would splinter, and the Democratic nominee would be guaranteed a win in November.
Even the corrupt scumbags in the GOPe aren't stupid enough to try such a thing. Maybe in the old days of smoke-filled rooms, party "bosses", and limited access to information for the public, etc., such stunts were feasible, but in the modern era of internet and instant media, such criminality would be utterly suicidal for the party.
It's time for Ted Cruz supporters to GROW UP, face reality, and admit defeat. The sooner it happens, the better it will be for the party, and if Ted Cruz cares about the party at all above his own selfish ambition, he will act accordingly, and maybe he can have a significant role in the coming Donald Trump administration...
