Donald Trump’s HUGE admiration for Globalists

Many Trump enthusiasts cite Heidi Cruz’s stint with the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), where she advocated for the private sector, as an indication that presidential candidate Senator Ted Cruz is a “globalist.” If Heidi Cruz’s connection to the CFR makes Ted Cruz a globalist (despite Cruz’s extensive record of aggressively defending U.S. sovereignty), any thinking Trump supporter would also want to take into account presidential candidate Donald Trump’s repeated and vocal admiration for CFR President Richard Haass.

During the GOP debate in Detroit on March 3, Fox News anchor Bret Baier asked Donald Trump for “two or three names” of people he trusts for national security. Trump responded with three names, one of whom was Richard Haass, who Trump referred to as “excellent.”

This is the relevant portion of the exchange:

BAIER: Mr. Trump, you’ve repeatedly deflected calls for specific national security or defense policy plans with the claim that you’ll ask the best people when you become president, and take their advice.

So who are the best people? Can you reveal two or three names that you trust for national security?

TRUMP: I think [Council on Foreign Relations President] Richard Haass is excellent. I have a lot of respect for him. I think General Keane is excellent. I think that there are — I like Colonel Jacobs very much. I see him. I know him. I have many people that I think are really excellent but in the end it’s going to be my decision. [emphasis added]

Additionally, The New York Times reported that Donald Trump personally met with Richard Haass in August of 2015. Haas “offered to hold briefings with all candidates from both parties, and that so far Senator Marco Rubio, Jim Webb, Hillary Clinton, Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey, Gov. John Kasich of Ohio

Globalism is mostly influenced by trade and big corporate monopolies. Nafta, European Unions, Trans Pacific Trade (TPP) Climate Carbon Taxes. These are all pushed by the big corporate globalists and their tentacles are entrenched in both parties Democrat and Republican. The Bushes pushed the NAFTA agenda and Bill Clinton signed the treaty. All these programs benefit Big Corporations but leaves the middle class without good jobs, lack of jobs, pay raises and will eventually wipe them out. Ted Cruz and his wife are working hand in hand with the Globalist. His wife worked with the council on foreign relations to help enact Global Communities. Ted Cruz helped Obama pass TPP even though he said it was a poison pill. Which is pure bullshit! He is a Bush insider from his first job in politics. He and his wife met as Bush insiders. These people in no way can call themselves political outsiders! They are so deeply entrenched in Bush family, Goldman Sachs, Council on Foreign relations. How do they look at you with a straight face and call themselves outsiders? There is only one person in the race that has been screaming about unfair global trade imbalances and corporate inversions for years and years. And its not Lyin Ted Cruz!

You forgot the part where Cruz called the CFR "A pernicious nest of snakes…working to undermine our sovereignty”

So his wife was in the nest of snakes and Donald Trump talked to a snake. That's my takeaway.

Oh yeah, remember this thing that was called the European Economic Community? Yeah, how's that working out? That turned into the Europena Union didn't it? One currency. I recall those who first talked about the North American Union being ridiculed as conspiracy nuts.. even while the same idea had already been implemented in Europe.

"When the leaders of Canada, Mexico, and the United States met in Texas recently they underscored the deep ties and shared principles of the three countries. The Council-sponsored Task Force applauds the announced “Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America,” but proposes a more ambitious vision of a new community by 2010 and specific recommendations on how to achieve it." Building a North American Community

Don't excuse co-authorship as innocent. There's nothing whatsoever conservative about this.

Yeah, suppose I helped write a portion of the concept of the European Economic Community so I can somehow insert my "conservative agenda" into the plan? Yeah right! Cruz seems to be a fraud.

Right. The guy who wants to:

build the Wall;

Load tariffs onto Mexico and China;

make other countries pay their fair share for US military protection;

penalize companies who move their factories overseas;

is a 'Globalist.'

Am I right in guessing the JS in your screen name stands for Juvenile Stupid?

I think the alarm went off when Cruz supported TPP. In looking for a reason why he may have done so, people found that his wife Heidi is a globalist who advocates for the North American Union. If Cruz hadn’t voted the way he did, Heidi’s globalist tendencies would not have been an issue, in my opinion.

Ted Cruz gets beat up every day on FR for Heidi's CFR membership.

Turns out, one of Trump most trusted foreign relations adviser picks is none other than the President of CFR.

That's not spin my friend, just a fact you don't like about your con-man.

I'm LMAO !

Another—Anti-Trump Hit piece. What is wrong with talking to Globalists—if he can bring back Jobs to the USA. I am willing to give Trump a chance and see what he can do. Can’t be worse than the Leftist Obama and his crew of Commie nut jobs we have now.
