No he wasn’t. His mother had to ask for him to be a citizen. I don’t have a link right now but I saw the procedure described in a comment to an article on this forum.
Mr./Mrs. Kathsua, I think whatever ‘link’ you may have intended to post ignores the fact that Ted Cruz’s mother IS a United States citizen. Now, his father was certainly naturalized, but irrelevant to our conversation. Senator Cruz had no need to be naturalized, as he was a citizen upon his birth. THAT is the law, THAT is what has been confirmed by myriads of judges and Constitutional scholars, and while there are those that disagree, their arguments don’t rely on anything purely Constitutional. Those arguments rely on extrapolation, and flimsy, overly creative interpretations that have no unifying principle. The point being that the founders were concerned about foreign agents becoming the president. Is that what principle you are worried about? Is Ted
