Cruz Sex Scandal: Trump Accused Of Planting Story As Serious Doubts Arise About Alleged Affairs
The Inquisitr News ^ | March 30, 2016 | Nathan Francis

The Ted Cruz sex scandal story just took another twist, with Cruz blaming Donald Trump for allegedly planting the story that ran last week and serious doubts arising over whether any of it is actually true.

The National Enquirer story accused Cruz of cheating on his wife, Heidi, with as many as five mistresses. The women were not named in the story but were quickly identified through their blurred out pictures and details of the alleged affairs.

Cruz immediately denounced the story as untrue — as have some of the women identified as his mistresses — and now Cruz is going on the offensive against Donald Trump. Cruz has accused Trump of planting the story, noting that the only named source in the story is a former aide to Donald Trump

CNN recounted Cruz’s accusations.

“Cruz suggested that Roger Stone, a former aide to Trump, and David Pecker, CEO of the National Enquirer’s parent company, had been in cahoots, pushing an item he has repeatedly denied and denounced as ‘garbage.'”

“‘The story, on its face, quoted one person on the record: Roger Stone,’ Cruz said during a CNN town hall event in Wisconsin. ‘Roger Stone has been Donald Trump’s chief political adviser. He planned and ran his presidential campaign and he’s been his hatchet man — he’s spent 40 years as a hatchet man. But not only that, the head of the National Enquirer, a guy named David Pecker, is good friends with Donald Trump.'”

There are serious doubts being raised about the Ted Cruz sex scandal story, with several media outlets poking holes in the Enquirer’s story...

What a bunch of bs. He won’t answer if he’s had affairs.

Stone is not stupid - he would not leave such a trail. And he has categorically denied it. Cruz engages in the same heresay he accuses others of.

Utter nonsense. Let’s hear Cruz say these words, verbatim: “I absolutely have not had affairs and have been faithful to my wife.”

Note that Cruz has threatened to sue Twitter, but not the National Enquirer.

And silence can be tacit admission of guilt!

If Trump is behind this, and the whole thing is false, I will not vote for him if he is the nominee. I always knew Trump was a sleazy guy, but this would be a new low.

Roger Stone … has been Donald Trump’s chief political adviser. He planned and ran his presidential campaign and he’s been his hatchet man — he’s spent 40 years as a hatchet man

His preferred nickname is the Dirty Trickster and he has a tattoo of Nixon's face on his back that he says really turns women on.

One of his hatchet jobs involved forming a group called Republicans for Choice dedicated to the proposition that the Pro-Life plank needed to be removed from the RNC Platform.

Is this the first you’re hearing of the Cuban Mistress Crisis?

It seems like it must be, or you would have already heard, dozens of times, that it has been stated — even by the media — that it was the Rubio camp that shopped this story around to numerous media sources, and that it has been being shopped for “at least 6 months.”

NOT Trump.

All Ted Cruz has to do is say that he has always been faithful to Heidi in accordance with his wedding vows. A Daily Mail reporter practically begged him to do that, but Ted Cruz wouldn’t do it.

well, if there’s nothing to it, it seems a bit strange that the NE doubled-down on the week of 3/28 issue and ran more tease stories about Cruz

Why are we still arguing about this? The media has already confirmed it was the Rubio Team pushing this story as early as January, and that Cruz knew it was coming and by whom.

Why is this still being debated by informed people?

You were never going to vote for him anyways.

They’re not going to let this crap go because Ted has successfully capitalized on his phony accusations. Responsible media say let’s move onto issues yet let Ted and gang keep the campaigns in the gutter.

Rump is so damaged by his National Enquirer sleaze stunt. His poll numbers are cratering because a majority of Americans knew this was a sleazy politic hatchet job.

The Cruz campaign is one tearful admission away from one of the biggest political flame outs in history. As soon as this becomes a he said, she said situation it is all over.
