They were very careful to write in terms of reporting rumors and allegations, which is in fact true, there have been rumors and allegations. If they’d have crossed the line and written that Cruz actually had affairs with these women, then it would be actionable if untrue. They didn’t do that. They’ve been sued before, and have gotten a lot more cagey.
I hope that’s the case and I hope this lands right in the middle of Trumps lap. Maybe he can be sued into ANOTHER bankruptcy....LOLOLOLOL.

Americans would accept the righteous indignation and fully comprehend the necessity for a man to do so. If these are lies, taking strong and concrete steps to smash these allegations would blow them off the radar and into the shadows.
Why has this not been done? It is very confusing how timid Cruz has been and how quick to blame Trump when Cruz has no believable evidence that Trump is behind this.

Dude...it was a joke directed at someone unthread who seemed over-willing to believe everything the NE said. The NE had also run a fake story about Hillary having brain cancer. While they are sometimes right, they are not exactly a credible source.

Nat. Enquirer is also currently running a story of how the CIA used a “$2,000 a night hooker” to murder Supreme Court Justice Scalia - with a secret poison shot. Pretty sure that will turn out to be true.
