From what I can tell, most of the anti-Beck sentiment is simply thinly veiled Christian bashing.

Of course, if you don’t believe:
1) that God exists
2) that the Bible is the divine revelation from God to mankind
3) that God is active in the world today

...then sure, I can see why you’d think Beck (or anyone espousing Christian thinking) is a nutcase.

And - something to ponder: if you don’t accept 1, 2 or 3, then perhaps it is YOU that is acting and thinking irrationally...

From my standpoint, anti-Beck sentiment is simply defense of true Christianity from the teachings of a false prophet that taught (sorry - “heard from God”) that Jesus Christ, after dying on the cross for our sins, then hopped over to “The Americas” and massacred an entire race.

Never mind that there is no archaeological record of any of this. Nothing. Not a single sword, shield, or coin from a supposed vast population.

So remember that Mormons believe that this weekend some 2000 years ago that Jesus Christ, after dying on the cross for our sins, then hopped over and massacred a bunch of people, and then hopped back and was resurrected.

True and complete blasphemy.
