No, Cruz merely stated the truth. He did not blame Trump for creating the violence. That’s disgusting to even make that claim.

Wow. Cruz said Trump was to blame for creating an environment that caused the violence. He directly blamed Trump.

There is no other way to take that. Cruz blamed Trump.

No, Cruz merely stated the truth.

What “truth”?

blaming Trump is like blaming the Berkeley riots on Reagan, because Reagan said protestors should be “taken by the scruffs of their necks.” You gotta problem with Reagan’s Trump-like rhetoric?

"Any candidate is responsible for the culture of a campaign. And when you have a campaign that disrespects the voters, when you have a campaign that affirmatively encourages violence, when you have a campaign that is facing allegations of physical violence against members of the press, you create an environment that only encourages this sort of nasty discord."

Oh, SuzyQue - they will take your statement as a direct attack on their beloved Donald.
Be careful - anything but the highest praise for Trump will bring retribution.

Read the quotes and see the recorded vid of Cruz's statement - I did. They are plastered all over the place. He did blame Trump. You lie. Because of his betrayal, Cruz is the most wicked, impious and ungodly man in public office today.

Not changing my support for Ted, either. I agree that Trump should bear some responsibility for the tone of his campaign. I also think that the reporting surrounding Ted's comments will send more of those low info voters into Trump's camp, and The Donald will effectively seal the nolibation on Tuesday.

Trumpeteers will then attempt to rebuild the bridges they've burned...good luck with that...lol. You can't win with 60% of the Republican vote against any candidate that starts with 47%, those eating government cheese.

So what's the plan, Trumpeteers? Give me a reason to vote for your guy after calling me a liar and a traitor here on FR these past few months. Believe me, there are plenty of hard feelings out here.

I agree, politics have been seriously degraded with the reality show mentality. The way you have been treated on this thread is a good example of the new violence as a first resort style of discussion.

Starting fires instead of discussing policy, then whining about smoke in your eyes is so Trump.

The problem Ted has is reason is no longer fashionable or ever possible with a large segment of the population. In order to understand what Ted said, one would have to comtemplate the meaning of his words, so much easier to get outraged.

But what Trump is riding to the polls is a horse named Rage.
