Well I’m one of those and there is no viable alternative at this point.

I’m contemplating not even voting tomorrow.

There is no time machine available to could possibly be used to go back and change the trajectory of events as they are now unfolding. The probability that The Donald will be the Republican nominee is now approaching 1.00, and his opponent will be Herself, who is on a similar track.

Which will look better to the American public? It largely depends upon WHICH American public shall make it to the polls. Both candidates have exceptionally high “unfavorable” ratios, so whichever side can get the most of the voters who consider the other side’s candidate “unfavorable” stands a very good chance of gaining the popular vote. It is an old American tradition, voting AGAINST rather than FOR a given candidate.

But there is a monkey wrench in the works. The original assumptions were that only a few states would be in actual play this election cycle, and suddenly what were almost certain “red” or “blue” states, have decidedly become “purple”, that is, they are in play.

The Republican Establishment has a choice of two right now, either take what they consider to be lemons, and and make it into lemonade, by embracing The Donald, or suck the lemons, make a wry face, and keep their “purity”.

The lemons are already purchased, brought home from the store, and are setting on the kitchen counter right now.

There are the lemons, the knife, the sugar, the pitcher, and the water on tap. Get busy.
