Donald Trump, with his characteristic bombast, has been claiming during stump speeches that he was always against invading Iraq. The claim is a way to strike at former President George W. Bush and, by extension, former Florida Gov. Jeb. Bush, who is running to be the third of that esteemed family to become president. But, Politico found out that in 2002 Trump expressed support for invading Iraq while on the Howard Stern show.

You pretty much suck.
Kind of like Joe Biden was against same sex marriage before he was for it? Then he “evolved.” Hope Team Trump brings that up for lolz.
The blog pimp is back.
We all owe a big apology to John Kerry for calling him a flip flopper. He has been exposed as a rank amateur.
“Donald Trump, with his characteristic bombast”
Ever notice that Trump, who is usually a bit soft spoken, is accused of being bombastic every time he makes a statement?
He is a leader and people listen to him and these little girlie men can’t figure that out.
Code Pinko was always against it.
He was for posting his blog before he pimped it.
Yeah? So what? I was for it—before I was against it.
Why did he not really say he was for the war on Howard Stern? I haven’t heard audio so it may just be a big smear. If he did say it though...he is caught in another lie.
I was for invading Iraq in 1991, finishing the job and leaving it in rubble.
I have never been for rebuilding any of the Middle Eastern hell holes after they get knocked down.
The concept is the punitive war.
Soft spoken? Have you not watched the debates? He yells liar. He yells over others. And he spoke strongly that he was the only one on stage that didn’t support the war. Now we find out that he was the liar ;-)
“He yells liar. He yells over others.”
You never raise your voice? Most men raise their voice when
angry?
“Now we find out that he was the liar ;-)gry.”
Not really. The statement you refer to (”I guess” - real intensity that), was made before the invasion had begun, and by that time he was on record against it.
So was I.
Hindsight being 20/20, it was a mistake to take out ME dictators both by Bush and Obama. Bush Sr had it right, b!tch slap them from time to time but leave them in place to contain the wingnuts.
Trump has not been able to show a single argument that he made against the war until almost a year after the invasion when Public opinion had already started to turn against the war. He said at the debate that he was a strong opponent of the war before it was launched. However, the only statements that he made before the war were supportive of it.
Trump is a liar who lies easily whenever he thinks it will benefit him. As soon as you Trump supporters figure this out then you will be able to untangle yourselves from the pretzel that you have gotten yourself into trying to reconcile all of his contradictory statements.
Ah so he was for the war before he was against it?
Got it! That didn’t work to well for John Kerry. Buy maybe if Trump yells loud enough people will buy it.
He was for it as a negotiating ploy, he didn’t really mean it.
