For all those that have an auditory processing problem. Here’s a play by play of what the CNN reporters (and I use the term reporters loosely) said, so letâs take a look at it.
Guy Reporter: Dr. Ben Carson...what have we learned?
Woman Reporter: We should say our Chris Moody is breaking this...that Ben Carson is going to go back to Florida to his home regardless of how he does tonight here in Iowa. Heâs going to go there for several days and then afterwards heâs not going to go to So. Carolina, heâs not going to go to New Hampshire, heâs going to come to Wash. D.C. and heâs going to do that because the National Prayer Breakfast is on Thurs. If you have been following Ben Carsonâs career you know that thatâs where he got himself on the political map. Attending that prayer breakfast and really giving it to president obama at the time.....and he became kind of a hero among conservatives and evangelicals especially.
(So where in there does it say he is quitting? Who sees it? No one, because itâs not there. Letâs move on...)
GR: But itâs very unusual.
WR: Very unusual.
GR: To be announcing that youâre going home to rest for a few day....not going on to the next site..plus heâs already announced that heâll be coming out and speaking at 9:15 local and 10:15 eastern no matter whether or not we know the results ..uh....because he wants to get home and get ahead of the storm.
(Where is anywhere in that, that indicates heâs quitting. No where because again, itâs not there. Letâs move on.)
WR: Look if you want to be president of the United States...you donât go home to Florida. Why...I mean thatâs just the bottom line, end of story. You want to signal to your supporters that you want it...that youâre hungry for it and that if you want them to get out and campaign...youâve got to be out there doing it too. Itâs very unusual.
GR: Very unusual news that CNN has just learned and Chris Moody is breaking this story...Wolf back to you in Wash.
Wolf: Very significant news indeed guys.
(Is there anywhere in that, where Dr. Carson was quitting? No. That was nothing but a couple of idiot CNN pundits giving THEIR analysis of what THEY think a candidate should do.)
So how did Cruz’s camp spin this into Carson’s quitting?
They lied and deceived.
To those who claim Carson supporters are stupid, all I can say is Christians take other Christians at their word, until they find out they have been deceived. Cruz would have been better off even if he had of come in second to Trump and not created all of this controversy. His victory is hollow and tainted because we will now never know what the true count would have been.
If you don’t speculate he’s quitting off the fact he’s leaving the campaign trail for about a week then your heads in the sand. Period.
