Trump: "Ted Cruz Didn't Win Iowa, He Stole It;" Cruz Committed Voter Fraud
iOTW Report ^ | 2/3/16 | Aurelius

Posted on 02/03/2016 6:33:10 AM PST by rightistight

Accusing Senator Ted Cruz of voter fraud, Donald Trump today argued that Mr. Cruz "stole" the election in Iowa.

"That is why all of the polls were so wrong, and why he got far more votes than anticipated," Mr. Trump said on Twitter, suggesting no one predicted that Mr. Cruz would win:

Ted Cruz didn't win Iowa, he stole it. That is why all of the polls were so wrong and why he got far more votes than anticipated. Bad!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 3, 2016

Mr. Trump then went further, saying Mr. Cruz committed fraud, suggesting that Cruz's campaign suggesting that Ben Carson would drop out amounted to fraud, as did his campaign's mailers about "voting violations:"

Many people voted for Cruz over Carson because of this Cruz fraud. Also, Cruz sent out a VOTER VIOLATION certificate to thousands of voters.— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 3, 2016

The Voter Violation certificate gave poor marks to the unsuspecting voter(grade of F) and told them to clear it up by voting for Cruz. Fraud— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 3, 2016

Oh, I get it. CNN released a story about Carson making a trip and Cruz believed they could scam it into stealing Carson votes... Oh, wait. Cruz is blameless in all things because he drops the name of God in every other sentence.

“Say hello to president Rubio. “

No, say hello to President Clinton with Conservatives once again staying home.

Just the way the rats and the establishment want it.

So - here Donald Trump is admitting that:

Were Carson not in the race,

Cruz gets all his votes.

How does that make Donald Trump the winner?

(And yes, this was a stupid CNN snafu. I was on Twitter before the Caucus, and everyone was repeating the line that Carson was dropping out, because of the CNN report).

It’s becoming clear that Ted Cruz’ backers and on the scene coordinators are not ethical. We all understand politics is a dirty business but there’s a line that is not to be crossed.

By making a lie that Carson was dropping out, Carson voters went to Cruz. This could have influenced the outcome. Donald is correct, this is vote fraud and Ted is responsible for the conduct of his campaign people.

The mailers were also very distasteful but probably had no effect on the outcome. Still this action shows the attitude and mindset of Cruz’ campaign backers and managers; not good.

Trump’s use of Twitter is starting to backfire on him.
He has to use it in a way that advances his campaign-frankly, as a propaganda outlet.

He may honestly feel this way, but saying it publicly doesn’t present a favorable public persona. Which is what a campaign is all about!

Cruzers spread a bunch of bullcrap around about Trump.

Guilty as charged. And the bullcrap we are spreading? Donald's own Tweets.

What I've said for months isn't new or original:

Democrats won't bring down Donald. Neither will conservatives, or the GOP-e, or Megyn and the media whores. Nothing will end the Trump candidacy except Trump himself.

This guy would be a freaking disaster as president. I have no doubt he would be the worst president we’ve ever had and is the worst possible choice running for president right now.

Trump may not be the best messenger, buy Cruz is a liar and cheat. Doing it in the name of Jesus doesn’t make it ok.

Voter Violation letters and lying about Carson. Scummy. No matter who tweets about it.

Cruz fans enjoy your holy crusade for now. Later you’ll have to decide how much sleaze and corruption you can defend.

Hopefully Cruz gets knocked out in the primary because his scandals will destroy him in the general.

even his cult should be embarrassed by this childish display.

Next he’ll get a cult member to say he/she was persuaded to vote for Cruz because of the rumor. Hide and watch

I really like Cruz, I love his amendment to stop Rubio’s gang of 8 bill. And he is my clear 2nd choice, and I've given to his campaign. But Trump is right here, and I really like him, but regardless... he's right, if the Cruz campaign had not misrepresented Carson, would we be looking at a different set of results? Trump, Cruz, Rubio?? I think it's entirely possible. For me, I refuse to make up my mind until the voting/primaries come to CT!

Excellent ob by Tanknetter:

It’s hard to say whether Cruz can or will win New Hampshire. There’s just too much happening right now with data-driven turnout methods (see the “Moneyballed” thread) that aren’t really all that well understood by the public or political prognosticators.

I’ve been following this trend for years and posting regularly on it (see threads and articles on Catalist, Narwhal and Orca), and while I understand the fundamentals and implications, a lot of the deeper elements do seem like witchcraft. They also work, and work frightenly well.

The Cruz camp may just be trash talking here, but what they did in Iowa worked. If they adjust and apply a tailored version in New Hampshire there’s an excellent chance of an upset.

Funny how co founder of Chertoff is running Cruz campaign.

By the way, Chertoff Group and Carlyle Group got together to buy a stake in a company.

Would love to know the behind the scenes on that one.
