Yeah, it’s screwy. Paul got 22, Romney got the other 6. The “winner” got none.
I’m not even sure why they vote for candidates, as, as far as I understand it, what really matters is who they elect as delegates to go to the county convention to elect delegates to the state convention, who will ultimately vote on how to proportion the State’s delegates in the primary.
Sorry, strike the second paragraph in my reply. It appears that as of 2016, the party requires delegates to be bound to the results of the caucus.
I’m finding conflicting information on whether or not Jeb! will receive one delegate or not (that is his share, but he didn’t make the supposed 3.33% of the vote cutoff).
